Nature, human, culture – are the universe, and we have only started to recognize its first edges. These and many other topics are being brought up for discussion in the club “Green Lens”. The club hosts many interesting meetings with movie-makers and amateurs who film the nature, scientists-environmentalists and non-profit organization representatives. And of course, meetings with interesting movies.

Nature, human, culture – are the universe, and we have only started to recognize its first edges. This is a world inside us and outside us which we seem not to notice in everyday fuss in a hurry for material values. Only sometimes, we would suddenly stop and recall that we are the creatures of nature. We are born, live, and die, according to its rules. But as a disobedient child wants to escape quicker from parents’ surveillance, we would eager to deny our relationship to the nature, as if we are ashamed of our origins. We are afraid to admit that it creates us not only physically, but also spiritually, that our spiritual roots were cultivated on the ground of worshiping the nature, that our world view, our tales, songs, poems, dances are filled with its images and rhythms. Why the humans are not ashamed of their violence over the nature, over their like, over the culture, but ashamedly keep silence about the fact that the nature, human, and culture are undivided, and no force is able to separate them while the world exists.

These and many other topics are being brought up for discussion in the club “Green Lens”. The club hosts many interesting meetings with movie-makers and amateurs who film the nature, scientists-environmentalists and non-profit organization representatives. And of course, meetings with interesting movies. Our club opens an opportunity to discuss fiction features of the movies, dramaturgy, stage direction, and cinematography expertise…Our club is like green sunglasses, and we look at the world through them, like the characters of a famous fairy-tale.

Participants, spectators, guests – everybody who is eager to join! Everybody who thinks that the nature, human, and culture are not only simple words!

Our purpose is to bust the myths that the “greens” film only “environmental thrillers” and that the movies about relationships between human and nature are only produced by the “greens”. Such movies are not only designed for a small selected audience. Among those who got inspired by nature, adopted its images, devoted their works to it, there are great masters of the cinema – R. Flaherty, W. Disney, J.-I. Cousteau, A. Kurosawa, J.-J. Anno, V. Herzog.

Our other purpose is to show the beauty of the immense, diverse, constantly changing world, tell about diversity of cultures which is based on the continual interaction between society and nature. Value and care about creatures of the nature and human, realize their undivided connection, protect them for the future generations – aren’t these things being called upon by the true artists?!

Finally, we want to tell how people protect what they care for. About those who defend their right for favorable natural environment, right to stay what they are. We support those who are faithful to the enduring fundamental principles and do not accept the petty market-based vision of the nature, human, and culture.

All events hosted in the club, including screening of the movies, are not commercial and are free of charge.
